FAQs about Digital Downloads
How do I access my digital tatting pattern or e-book after purchase?
Once your payment is complete, a download link will appear on the confirmation page. You’ll also receive an email with the link—be sure to check your spam or promotions folder if it doesn’t show up right away.
If you created a customer account at checkout, you can also log in and download your file anytime from your order history.
I didn’t get the download email—what should I do?
First, double-check your spam or junk folder. If you still don’t see it within 10 minutes, please reach out to me and I’ll make sure you get your pattern.
Can I get a refund on a digital pattern?
Due to the nature of digital downloads, all pattern sales are final. However, I want you to feel supported—if something isn’t working or feels unclear, send me a message and I’ll do my best to help.
FAQs about Shuttle Tatting Patterns
What skill level are your shuttle tatting patterns designed for?
Most patterns are written with confident beginners to intermediate tatters in mind. Each listing includes a suggested skill level, and patterns come with clear instructions and diagrams. If you’re just starting out, I recommend reviewing the listing details to make sure it’s a good fit—or feel free to message me for advice!
Can I use the same pattern for needle and shuttle tatting?
Yes. Most tatting patterns work with either method. At their heart, all patterns come down to rings, chains, joins, picots and closures.
Some techniques—like split rings or beadwork—might feel easier with one method over the other, depending on your experience. I design as a shuttle tatter, but my patterns are written so needle tatters can follow along too.
Can I sell items I make from your pattern?
Yes, you’re welcome to sell handmade items made from my patterns in small quantities. I just ask that you credit The Scarlet Thread as the designer if you do so online or at craft fairs.
Do you offer support if I get stuck?
Yes! If you’re having trouble with the pattern or think you’ve spotted an error, please get in touch. I aim to respond within 2 business days and will always try to assist.
Will you be offering video tutorials or more patterns?
Yes—this is just the beginning! I’m gradually building out a library of patterns and beginner-friendly tutorials. You can join my email list to hear when new designs and resources are released.
